In just a couple of days I’ll be leaving for Romney WV, to an adventure riders get-together. This 4th annual event is hosted by Romney Cycle Center
N 39°21’17.1″ W 78°45’30.2″
see www.romneyceyles.com or better yet just go in person. Meet Kevin, Larry, Heather, the rest of the staff and many volunteers work together to organize a great event. I understand that this year corporate Suzuki has become involved and is supplying some demo bikes.
I’ve ridden to WV a few times to enjoy some gravel back-country roads and the narrow paved twisted roads that I call “perverted pieces of asphalt.”
A small group of us ( shown in this 2014 picture ) meet-up near the Finger Lakes NY and ride together. We’ve done lots of planning and put together some gps route files, hopefully we won’t get lost on the our long back-road route through Pennsylvania and get to Romney in daylight. A perfect route for me connects the best of the local eateries, with the most twisted scenic paved back country roads with a few stops for pictures.
