Day 7

17 Aug

I got a new sun hat in Fargo North Dakota. Check out GoogleEarth at N 46d 42.572m W 97d 57.902m along the Sheyenne River Valley.

We found the Scenic Backway along the Sheyenne River southbound from Valley City and we stopped to try it out. Very Cool, and we can now also say that we have visited Kathryn ND.

In Jamestown we met up Stromtrooper “Puddleduck” who is riding his Vstrom homebound, going easterly in a round about way after dipping his feet in the Pa ific near Vancouver.

I aimed him towards Rugby ND because it’s the geograhical center of North America and he really needs to go there. Hopefully he will also get to the ferry SS Badger and cross Lake Michigan. We wish you a safe trip home.

On the walk back from Mexican food for dinner at Paridisio, we watched some lightening and thinking that it’s a good night to be at the Quality Inn and not in our tent. Booking online through hotwire saved us some money; our stop at MacDonalds to use the open WiFi paid off, and the coffee and icecream was a bonus.

Hey Gord, Going through my wallet and I found your card. Although I didn’t make it up to the center of N.A. I did take the ferry across Lake Michigan. Nice trip but definitely different than the ferry in B.C.
