NEVA day 2

31 Jul

We got an early start at 8:00 after all having a decent night’s sleep. After riding Hurricane road first we stopped for breakfast as planned

A wonderful day of twisties mixed with rain. At Mt Snow we found ourselves riding our bikes through the middle of a kids camp basketball game. Crazy navigator.

We got to North Adams campground about 5:30 and got set up on dry ground just minutes before the rain started.

NEVA 2014

28 Jul

North East Vstrom Adventure is held this year in Massachusetts. I’ll be leaving Kingston on Wednesday morning, together with 4 other Canadian Vstrom riders heading for North Adams, Massachusetts. We will make it an ¬†enjoyable easy two day ride and camp over one night along the way at the North Pole Campground near Wilmington, NY.

We are booked into the Historic Valley Campground on Lake Windsor just south of North Adams.

Great showers, the whole place is remarkably clean. They sell craft beer by the bottled and must have 100 kinds in the cooler.

Across the road is a restaurant with the freshest food and the chef is great.

Expensive dinner with lots of wine but delicious.
