Coudersport PA

15 Oct

Long day’s ride to Pennsylvania, cold foggy start in Kingston but it cleared as we entered NY state. Went through the Finger Lakes and had a great lunch at The Downtown Deli in Seneca Falls. County Rd 10, the Cameron Rd from Bath going SW towards Jasper is very scenic with long steep hills and some twisties. Westgate Inn at Coudersport has great covered MC parking.

Light rain all Wed morning. This bridge crosses Little Mahoning Creek.

We snacked and got fuel at Punxsutawney(didn’t see Phil). It continued to rain until 3:00 when we stopped in Ohiopyle for a break and another snack at the Falls Market restaurant.

The good news about the rain and cool temperatures between 11 and 14 degrees Celcius, is that we got a chance to test Sam’s new gloves; dry hands and adequately warm.

We stayed at the Brookside Inn B and B. Its an awsome huge summer home built about 120 years ago. Great for a group to have a workshop or retreat.
Now for you Austin because we know you are following the blog, you must get to Austin PA. Here’s today’s route of a days worth of twisties. Most of today at moderate speed because of wet roads – here are the details: Coudersport, 872, Austin, Emporium, 255, Dubois, 259, Ligonier, 381, Farmington, cross state line into WV, 26, Albright, 72, 50 E to Aurora.
