Bonavista

9 Jul

We’re at HI Bonavista for the night after a perfect day and now eating at the Harbour Quarters that was the 1920’s general store and overlooks the sunset and the harbour.

On the way earlier today…with some help and suggestions from local residents we found our way to some spectacular vistas well off the normal tourist routes. It is remarkable where Jim can ride his Harley. We have had 9 riding days together of unusually sunny and dry days. Sunday was hot, I wore nothing but poly sweatwicking underwear and a jersey underneath my suit. Not pretty but functional. The hot temperature in NL broke a 17 year record.

I’m always on the lookout for really cool fishing gear and stuff near fishing stages and wharves.

Beautiful pictures, I’m hoping to get out to Bonavista later this summer. Last year myself and my partner toured Newfoundland, him on a Kawi Versys 650, me on a Harley Sportster 1200. Harleys are very underrated adventure-tourers! 😉
