Beartooth and Chief Joseph hwy

2 Jul

The last mile of roadway was still blocked with snow so I hiked up to Bighorn Medicine Wheel; well worth the hike it’s an amazing place.

I was able to ride northbound on the BTH on June 30th to Red Lodge and again, southbound on Canada Day. I had a tip-over when parking to take some pictures, adding one more minor scar to the starboard side case.

Both the Beartooth and the Chief Joseph highways are great roads to play on.

Lots of snow up top for skiing, approx 11,000ft. It’s the last day of the operation of the poma lift at  Red Lodge International Summer Ski and Snowboard Camp. It’s an awesome steep drop and still well covered with snow; tempting to slide down in my RoadCrafter suit. ha ha.
